Functionally, the hamstrings extends leg at hip, flexes the knee and assists medial rotation primarily when the knee is flexed. In other words, they help us walk (among other activities).
Learn about the hamstring muscle group as it relates to posture, move- ment, and asana. Enjoy a guided practice along with physical adjust- ments. Close attention will be paid to body mechanics and functional anatomy.
